Do I need to have a particular fitness level before I begin training?
In general, your fitness relative to each respective art will develop in time with your practice. However, prospective students with a pre-existing illness or injury, or any concerns at all, should consult their Doctor before embarking on any program. Please discuss your circumstances with our instructors before beginning to train
Is age a barrier?
Adult classes are for those 15 years and over and some weapon arts require a high level of maturity and are unsuitable for children. Otherwise, there are no age restrictions to general training.
How many times a week do I need to attend training?
On average, we suggest a minimum of once per week. 2 or more times per week will significantly enhance knowledge retention and physical ability over one session per week. However, we are able to accommodate those that work shift work or are away for extended periods at a time.
Do I need to buy training 'gear' when I first start?
No, the loose comfortable clothing such as track suit etc is all that is needed.
How much will training cost?
As an organisation that promotes ethical self defence practice and personal development, we strive to make training accessible to all and as affordable as possible whilst ensuring the highest level of personal instruction. Although general training fees are fixed, many generous discounts and offers are available through our training centre; these will only be discussed in person. Please contact us and we will provide you with a summary of the overall costs associated with your specific training requirements. Remember discounts may apply.
